So pleased. My daughter has got really into the women’s #wafc. The players are fantastic- genuinely great ambassadors for the club on and off the pitch. We’ll be at Edge Hall Road on Sunday

Definitely. The team has played a lot of football recently, lots of them apparently carrying knocks and strains, and it caught up with them with the survival job done. I hoped for better, but it’s far from a disaster
Tickle
Would think that’s the last we’ve seen of Trevitt. Shame. Hope he can manage his injuries going forward but doubt it’ll be us. We can’t be having players only fit for 15 games a season going forward #wafc
We looked exhausted. We probably were. Port Vale first to every ball. But if you can’t win, don’t lose. #wafc
We’re struggling a bit here #wafc
Nick Powell loves a goal, or more, against Barnsley #wafc
Big day at the bottom of L1…
I think #wafc can now look up rather than down now.
But @neilmacleod.bsky.social is right - it will likely take a few more points than usual to stay up.
Exeter now targeting Wimbledon. They were both mid table not long ago…
Wow! Football, eh…
Yeah. I think that’s what it is. Their fans think they will be propped up by their wealthy owner… which might be right, or might not, or might be where it started last time. But so many of the division have the same vulnerabilities - us included. It all feels mad to me
Wow.
This can’t continue. But it might…
#wafc
It looks like it could be a weird old summer in L1 (and maybe L2). Balance sheets across the board look dire, and lots of clubs looking for investment. Lots of players at lots of clubs out of contract too. The market should will out and players demands will tumble. But I wouldn’t bet on it. #wafc
Exeter might, possibly. If they get to 52 that would make them survive. If they do, I think they'll find 4 teams below them. Eyes on Blackpool and Burton before us, if Exeter do find form
I think we should aim at 12th. No drama if we fall short. But we should aim there
I’ll still go for 52 points being enough. Almost certainly 51 (unless our goal difference collapses).
2018/19 Wimbledon stayed up on 50 with -21 goal difference. Since then 50 has been enough with a goal difference like ours.
Hard to think 51-52 wouldnt do it. #wafc are on 49 now
One win away from safety. Not over yet but I am extremely confident we’ll be in L1 next season #wafc
Really pleased for Will Aimson. He’s not better than our level, but not worse than it either. I think he’s a brilliant professional #wafc
If Carragher didn’t have the family name we’d rate him as regular L1 #wafc
What are we doing? Defended that like it was a friendly #wafc
What a reverse ball from Matt Smith. Jordi Gomez-esque #wafc
Always seems a shame that lockdown, administration and lockouts cost us the chance to say ‘goodbye’ to some players.
Jacob’s sums that up as much as any. He was a very good player for us #wafc
Yeah. Very
That Alan Nixon story about 'north west football faces' wanting to buy (take on costs of running) #wafc takes me back to this. I'll be honest, it makes me very nervous: www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/footba...
I know - and I’m sorry. My priority wish is that we are safe, but if I had a preference it wouldn’t be you guys who dropped
Feel sorry for Exeter. They were class with #wafc over Caldwell (and my lad’s best mate is from a family of Exeter supporters’ trust people). Class club.
But those results were good for us today. Last night is now probably a point gained.
Aimson
Yeah. I think so. I think there might even be one or two more than 4, in fact
Two mediocre teams cancelled each other out in the end.
#wafc needed to take those early chances.
Not what we wanted but a point is a point
So… we’re all left talking about a referee AGAIN #wafc
The rise in L1 player wages is real. It shows in various clubs accounts. But it raises more questions than answers: 1. Why the sudden jump? Is it really a Wrexham effect? V. dramatic. 2. What happens this summer? The noises from lots of clubs is ‘enough’ but football prove not to be like that #wafc
