Sorry for my late response, I am not a very active social media user. Your made a good point. Anxiety can be induced by a stimulus (or more often a situation) but it is a rather unspecific ongoing (tonic) response while fear is a time logged specific (phasic) response to a defined event.

That's not completely correct. We have "Angst" and "Furcht". While most people do not differentiate, in psychology we do. It is "Furcht-Konditionierung" (Fear-Conditioning) not "Angst-Konditionierung", so, the presence of an fear inducing stimulus (or a phasic vs tonic response) makes the difference
