Calling it a newspaper is a reach, at best. It's a propaganda sheet.

You know I wasn't a fan of what Stearns put together this offseason; but even I didn't expect it to be this putrid. I don't think anyone could have predicted this kind of start.

I don't know if those guys exist anymore. They had one who was close in Buck, but he was basically told the sport had moved past him.

This isn't Milwaukee. There's too much competition for the entertainment dollar here; too much else to do.

Including, the team in the other borough, who are still living off their success from decades ago. They're a tourist destination, and that includes people who don't know a thing about the sport.

Your response was kinder than he deserved. Jackass.

No way he'll fire Stearns. He was considered a huge get, the next boy wonder. Cohen won't admit that mistake just yet. He's got 2 more years on that contract; mercifully one may involve a lockout season, lol.

Mendy will take the fall instead.

I already have that person blocked, so I can't see what he said, but I trust it was both rude and idiotic.

Block,block,blockity block.

I agree, and I think that goes along with him treating fans like employees. We don't owe him anything; he owes us.
He asked the fanbase to show up after a successful season and they did. Only to get rewarded with an abysmal season. Followed by a winter of losing popular players. Not a great mix.

That makes sense. Volatile, high pressure situations involving huge sums of money.

You would think that would transfer pretty well into owning a professional sports franchise, but only when it's a successful one, I guess.

I don't know much about his reputation as a boss/employer, but some of his reactions make me glad I don't work for him. He has the whole fans/employees thing confused, I think.

We don't work for you, Stevie. You're supposed to work for us. That's what we pay for.

Yeah, I'm not counting on his silence. I get that he's angry about spending his money badly, but it seems like he's yet to figure out that the fans aren't to blame for that.
It doesn't make us disloyal or ungrateful for not wanting to follow his lead and spend money to watch a bad product.

If he's smart,he won't say a thing.

I guess billionaires don't care about optics. Cohen does seem a bit thin skinned at times, though.

Dolan loves banning people like Oak (FREE OAK), add one more to the list. Keep Cohen out of MSG.
Stay home and dream about your casino, Stevie.

Payback for the “I wanted to win” troll video. Some schadenfreude working for us while nothing else is.

I saw the update (surgery). I also saw your post stating they'd just buy/steal a replacement. 😣 That team goes through pitchers like water thru a sieve, & I say that as someone whose own team has a revolving BP door.

On a side note: "Loose bodies" will never not make me giggle like a 12-yr-old.😁🤣

And he brought the Mets rotten juju with him, damn it.

My kids oft comment that he posts and has exchanges w/fans b/c none of their other sports teams owners do anything remotely like that. I think he's considered pretty involved, he likes attention...Alex has pulled back shutting her SM/Email. Casino will be priority 100% but he's not absent imo 🤷🏻‍♀️

It is Dêjà vu from last year. Mets in free fall & Steve Cohen court side at Knicks playoff game. Don't care that Mets have the night off...as a Mets fan, feels like a slap in the face re: his priorities and such a bad look. #MetsSky

Maybe think twice before posting a video boasting about how you 'stole' a player from the team you're facing . Karma's a bitch.

No matter. They'll steal/buy someone to replace him.

Interesting that this slipped by them in the physical.

Ok are we sure he’s not secretly still on the Mets because “loose bodies in the elbow” is one of those random injuries you never hear of until someone on the Mets gets it and is out for three months.
