Wow !!! Just had this beautiful male Sparrowhawk in the back garden looking for its dinner! We used to have a m+f on a regular basis but not seen one for several years.

Giant Hogweed, the sap can give you a nasty burn and sunlight can reactive the blister.
Hymalyan Balsam, nice flowers but it out competes our native plants.
Spot of Wombling on the River Tees downstream of Preston Park again. Plenty of plastic bottles to fill 3 large bags & unfortunately there's still many to go at. Sadly the Giant Hogweed is sprouting along with Hymalyan Balsam, both invasive & non-native to UK. Good news was I spotted 2 Kingfishers π

Great to be out on the River Tees with Yvonne for the warmest day of the year so far π Managed to spot 3 Roe Deerπ¦ and 2 Otters 𦦠.....maybe it was the aroma of our sausage and wild garlic sandwiches ππ±π± that was attracting them π

R shelduck flown to join 3 x Egyptian Geese at far pool. Original 2 x Egyptian still remain on RHS of nearest pool. Thanks for finding Ian π
