I've seen several posts questioning why pittsburgh locals are so down on the draft being here. idk what to tell you, our kids are being forced into online learning, the community college night class that I'm taking is cancelled dt road closures, see my last RT about law enforcementb targeting kids

For a long time the entity of "chat" was assumed to be the worst possible place you could get something resembling reasonable advice but somehow this situation has wrapped around to chat being good. Go do the thing with your crush

Maybe! Or you just export your Excel sheet as a csv and feed it to a very simple python script (that does not require a tremendous amount of actual learning) that you can type once and pull out of terminal history. Bonus no VBA.

Sure, but I'd enjoy changing a formatted string output a lot more than formulas.

You likely don't need advice here, but I'm just going to say that a little python, especially the CSV libraries, are just up your alley

Don't settle for less than $2 million, one million for you and one for whatever counseling you need after

Pittsburgh types if you know who Matt Wakulik is you should know he's dead. If you don't know who he is you should smile because that guy sucked ass.

Not really? The exterior is pretty waxy so unless you really mash it together it's pretty separate. If you have too much fish though they can melt together if you really exert.

Bringing this out of some replies to say that you can add swedish fish to your store bought trail mix and it will improve your trail snacking experience.

4 days ago 3 0 2 0

We are called to preach what we know is true, in this case that there's nothing like a swedish fish to keep the morale up on the trail.

You can put them in trail mix as the sweet element too. Handful of peanuts with a fish? Delightful.

This is true and also why connecting to others especially in the firearms space can be important. Homies who can store your guns for you if you're in a bad spot are important.

Having a service like this that knows sleeper agent on you is terrifying if you've ever run a system at scale because frankly a lot of the time incident mitigation heavily indexes on the most recent changes and deployments that have been made.

April 2026 Outage Post-Mortem - Jim's Pckt Hey all! I'm Jim, and I do system-y things at Bluesky. I'm here to give you some details about what happened on Monday of this week that caused Bluesky to go do...

Ok this is a really interesting postmortem. Newly deployed service (but not extremely recently), normal defaults unset, not enough observability. Coupled with the logging itself causing problems too.

Reminds me of a couple deep deep infra knowers when I was in tech. Not the same level of "literally made GANs" but you'd see them in the incident IRC and know that it was fine, dad's home and he knows how to fix the leaking pipe.

Hoooly shit. Truly, these fuckers would rather lose badly than give up an ounce of leverage to an employee.

I'm really not trying to pick a fight. I used to do this professionally and so have some perspective on what it takes to keep a popular website up. I am with you that it is absolutely unacceptable how this dev team chooses to interact with their users.

It's really hard to test for DDOS after a certain point of scale. Idk, I think that it's much less a dev problem than an ops one.
