No mother should be forced to endure this immeasurable pain. Our children cannot keep paying the price for unfettered access to guns with their lives.

Trump’s pardons of white-collar criminals are draining money from a fund that helps victims of violent crime.
At least $113 million in forgiven penalties would have gone into the Crime Victims Fund absent a Trump pardon, a Trace analysis found.

Domestic shootings in Louisiana and Virginia have seized the nation's attention. But murder-suicide happens more often than you may think.
There are an average of 1.5 gun-related murder-suicides a day, according to Gun Violence Archive — and the majority stem from intimate partner violence.
A former member of the National Guard and a former politician took the lives of their loved ones before killing themselves. A new analysis by The Trace shows how often murder-suicides occur.

In 2024, Louisiana rejected a red flag/extreme risk protection order law & passed permitless carry instead. A strong ERPO law could allow family members/law enforcement to temporarily remove guns from someone in acute crisis who is showing signs of dangerous behavior before the violence happens.

As a person touched personally by gun violence, I am honored to receive the endorsement of this great organization working to empower survivors and strive for common-sense gun laws that that protect both our communities and our freedoms, because gun ownership must come with responsibility.
Eight children were killed in a domestic violence shooting spree yesterday in Shreveport, LA. Louisana has the U.S.'s 6th-highest rate of gun deaths, and some of the U.S.'s weakest gun regulation, including no universal background check, waiting period, or ERPO laws.
Today's case considers just that situation. Giffords sought relief from the FEC for alleged violations of the FECA by the NRA. When the FEC couldn't resolve the complaint, Giffords sought a court judgment declaring the failure to act - a statutory prerequisite to bring its own suit.
My heart breaks for the eight children killed in the horrific shooting in Louisiana yesterday.
Speaker Johnson, this happened in your own hometown. You have the power to stop future shootings by working with us to pass commonsense gun safety legislation.
