It’s so infuriating, all this “fuck yeah American pope, be sassy at the president” when the church’s bigotry continues. Just tells me people don’t even give enough of a shit to even be aware what Catholic leadership’s doing to us.

Folks making that argument must not be big into actual reading. The idea that people don’t prefer a unique authorial voices and would rather that everything and everyone sound the same is baffling. I found an old Heinlein juvenile the other day, and wow did I miss that bouncy light-hearted voice.
