It's definitely quite striking to compare Bluesky and X side by side. I was painfully aware of the ads, algo-pushed content and filler clogging up my feed, with increasingly far-right content seeming to be in front of me. This is much lighter on the brain.
With farm owners protesting today over the prospect of paying a highly discounted inheritence tax, I'm sure you've seen quotes about how they "feed the nation".
But nobody is talking about the migrant workers who actually pick the crops on horticulture farms, so here's a short thread about them.

I have a lot of sympathy for farmers who do hard work in difficult circumstances.
But public services are crumbling, including in the countryside.
It's right to ask some of the wealthiest landowners to pay a bit more tax.
