You should add single cell protein fermentation to this list. It's 10,000x less land use than Soy beans per tonne of protein! And can be complete amino acid profile. Check out things like Air Protein, Unibio, or Quorn.

My first piece of advice to individuals is influence the companies you work at to change their procurement strategies and include climate. Even if they haven't specifically identified the solution, prioritize enabling suppliers with decarbonized solutions, by offering lucrative procurement contracts

I could only get behind this idea if it's reversible in short timelines as an adjustable sunshade between earth and the sun at SEL1. Any attempt at atmospheric aerosols is a nightmare of unknown unknowns.

There's likely $2.5T-$3.5T sitting on the table today looking to fund bankable projects that are fully derisked. The limiting factor is the funding gap to finance moving projects that are qualified but not yet bankable to construction capital ready at their final investment decision point & bankable

It's sadly mainly still about finding the sufficient risk tolerant money so we can deploy the projects. It's so hard to find LP's with liquidity and sufficient check sizes.

Singapore prime minister warns of turbulence ahead in 'post-American' order | FT #shorts YouTube video by Financial Times

I couldn't agree more with the Prime Minister of Singapore. We must do more today to plan for the future given the global world order is being rewritten. This is a moment of grand transitions and profound opportunity to reshape the world how we want it to be. Be brave.

Trump administration cancels $766 million Moderna contract to fight pandemic flu The Trump administration has canceled $766 million awarded to drugmaker Moderna Inc. to develop a vaccine against potential pandemic influenza viruses, including H5N1 bird flu.

🚨 The Trump administration has canceled $766M awarded to Moderna for developing an H5N1 bird flu vaccine. Despite a 52% human death rate and positive interim results, funding uncertainty looms. This is ludicrous given the pandemic risk! πŸ¦ πŸ’‰ #Moderna #BirdFlu #mRNA #vaccine

You know what's fun with working with AI doing deep research? You get a moment while it thinks. It reminds me of the early days of Photoshop back in 2002-2005, a minor modification to large files took 15 secs to minutes to process. This will be gone soon, but it's nice to have a few micro moments.

Equinor's new Arctic oilfield to pay back $8 billion investment in under 2 years Equinor's Johan Castberg oilfield in the Arctic Barents Sea began production on Monday after several delays, and is expected to repay its 86 billion Norwegian crown ($8.14 billion) price tag in less than two years, the company said.

If you're ever in need of a reminder to why the we're not making any meaningful traction on climate, sustainable technology is trying to compete with a return on investment within less than 2 years of operations, at the $8B mark.

Well second nail in the coffin.
23andme going bankrupt to maximize shareholder value. The scary reality of capitalism and unchangeable DNA, falling into the hands of those of whom it's impossible to trust. I feel for the millions who have fallen into this trap.

Impact finance struggles between grant making efforts, which are crumbs to address feeding an elephant, and zero risk capital in the sustainable bonds markets, but these are all starved of investable opportunities to drive impact and return expectations. I think planning doesn't know what's possible
