The government in my country once restricted a lot of social media users from using certain words on some platforms. At one point, you couldn’t even access certain sites without using a VPN. Do you support this kind of government censorship?

As long as forums are still around, I don’t see them being apart of the next generation of social media. They actually came prior to the birth of social media. That would mean forums would be going backwards. But there are many forums around. www.forumdirectory.com
I’m currently using Ushost247. They’ve been pretty solid for me.

You can host 18+ websites with them under one of their reseller accounts. Their prices start off at $13.95 a month for reseller.
Xenforo, Nodebb, Discourse or Invision Community. These softwares are the best ones on the market currently. You’ll be able to build a quality community with any of them.
Should you release a press release to help you grow your game?
Of course, Releasing a press release can give your pet game a boost in visibility, valuable backlinks, and help attract much-needed attention on a global scale. #gamedev #indiedev

As your website or game starts growing, there’s usually a point where you’ll need to upgrade to a more powerful server, especially if you’re starting to push past your current resource limits
So, how often do you find yourself needing to upgrade your server

Forums must find new ways to integrate into social media, methods to create content with less time and effort and give members enough benefits for staying within the folds of forums. I used to be active over 15 to 20 forums when I was young, back in 2010 - 2015.
Do you think the age of forums are over?
I dont think that the age of forums are over, but it is a sad reality that it is declining significantly.

People asking questions on Stack Overflow has declined to levels not seen in 15 years. Vibe coding and AI chat bots have made this once vibrant and essential developer community obsolete.
It’s unsurprising its parent company now wants to rebrand away from Stack Overflow.
RIP. You were a real one.
Depends on the type of forums and spaces that you enjoy.
But, there’s actually a directory of them where you can find active forums.

From indie darlings to AAA releases, local multiplayer options seem to be experiencing a resurgence. What's your favorite recent couch co-op experience, and why do you think developers are returning to this format?

Congratulations!
I like Ushost247. They have plans starting at $3.79 a month. Their customer service is pretty good. I’ve been with them for a while now. I also recommend Knownhost or Mddhosting. You can also apply their promo code Sales50 for a 50% recurring discount(monthly).

Remember when “Just Google it” was the solution to all your search needs? Unfortunately, those days are changing fast.
While Google remains the king of search, the ground beneath its feet is shifting as brands and marketers are finding new ways to attract users.

What type of forums do you like? There’s a directory of them if you’d like to find certain niche communities

It would cost about $20-40 a month to host a site like that.
You could get a shared server that would be able to power it for quite sometime.
This provider would be great to use. rb.gy/wigsqi
Peace, love, wolf pups 🐺
I don’t. 😂
Hey Matt! I’d recommend checking out Ushost247 if you need better resources for your website and not get restricted rb.gy/wigsqi
You can also block malicious bots via cloudflare. If you need help setting cloudflare up, feel free to message me. There’s a built in firewall(waf) on cf.
You’re welcome! Yeah, hosting can definitely be a weird rabbit hole sometimes. But seriously, ushost247 has been solid for me. I’ve stuck with them for a while now. If you have any questions while checking them out, feel free to ask.
For small business sites, testing projects, or anything low to medium traffic, I’d recommend checking out ushost247. I’ve been using them personally, they keep things lightweight, no upsell nonsense, and the performance has been consistent. rb.gy/wigsqi
You might want to check out ushost247, I’ve had solid luck with them. They offer flexible CPU resource scaling, which sounds like what you’re after. Worth a look.

If you’re still searching for gaming communities, I’d recommend checking out gaminglatest, Vgr or Virtualpetlist. They’re not discord channels.
I’m not a fan of chat rooms either. We need more forums.
There are still plenty of forums around. There’s actually a directory of them where you can find various niche based ones. It’s one of the largest directory of forums.
