🧵 TGEU Board met at the beginning of March in Barcelona, with the main focus of planning the upcoming 10th European and Central Asian Trans Council in September 2026 as well as reviewing new membership applications.
I look forward to sharing my contribution “Becoming-Babutsa: Queer Ecologies in Divided Cyprus” and to vibrant discussions on queering material relationalities with peers from across Europe and beyond.
Keynote speakers include Jack Halberstam (Columbia University) and Bogdan Popa (Transylvania University), among others, as we collectively engage with critical questions at the intersections of gender, ecology, post-socialist theory, and decolonial queer thought.
Taking place in Prague on 12–13 March 2026, this event brings together leading scholars and activists to explore emergent dialogues on queer materiality, relationality, and more-than-human becomings across disciplines.
I am honoured to be chairing and presenting at the international conference “Queer Materiality: Becoming-Relations”, hosted by Charles University, Faculty of Arts and the French Research Center in Humanities and Social Sciences – Prague.

Thank you Rosanna O'Keeffe and Ibrahim Ince for organising this rich event, which brought together researchers and artists exploring communication, infrastructure, heritage, care, ecologies, and gender within the axis of conflict.
