I just hate how animated movies are always like "look at all the famous people we got in out movie!!" like some movie trailers are like 3/4 just listing off names in some cases

can I just say I hate hate hate hate the thing animated movies do where they get some moderately famous person to voice a nothing one line character and then because they're famous they give them a whole special title card in the credits

I think the novels, minus the terrible roku ones, have been a much more interesting medium, they've been really great, all the kyoshi and yang chen books, and the newest one set in ba sing se

idk sometimes you just don't have it anymore, you can get all the same people together and it just doesn't work

some things are just better left off alone

I wasn't really that keen on the new show they've announced, what with it having the world destroyed by korra or what ever. I happen to quite like korra, and this new movie really made me really not have any faith in these guys any more to do good things.

-shows with huge episode counts so they don't want to alienate the general movie audiences by requiring you watch up to season 12 to get it.
This is the first animated avatar thing in like a decade...

why is it just so....nothing?

I've seen the avatar movie being compared to those Naruto or One Piece movies that just have some new bad guy pop up and get beaten leaving no lasting impacts to the characters or world, and its really accurate lol.
But the thing with those movies is that they're tying in to currently running-

its this weird thing where I've like...tried to have thoughts about avatar movie but there's just nothing to think about

i mean, i guess i'm glad i saw it for free on twitter and didn't have to pay human money for it

Having slept on it...there's just not much to that avatar movie. It didn't really make me mad like netflix, it wasn't funny bad like the shamalan, its just like....nothing.
