Sherlock Hound is pretty fun but they really missed an opportunity by not making his antagonist Meowriarty.

Yep, I've tried to discuss issues with people in the past only to have them reply by telling me what Claude said about it.

People say they make a mean cup of coffee because if they said they make an average cup of coffee no one would want it.

The core of Double Exposure and Reunion, to me, is about trauma. But it's unfortunate that this works best when Chloe is out of the picture and it's Max and Safi being disasters together only to stumble when Max and Chloe reconnect, when their shared trauma is why they split up in the first place.

We will outlive them all and it will be with two middle fingers in the air, my friend. Find me if you need shelter, and I will tell the world to fuck off extra hard for a while while you rest.

Ironically, the last I can think of is my blue-haired disaster lesbian daughter that was written by the same dang people.

Okay so Lost Records starts kinda slow and I didn't really care about all the 90s nostalgia, but the actual writing in there is really good. Kat was my ride or die and it’s rare that I want to throw down so hard for a fictional kid.

TBH when my anxiety level passes a certain point I go into survival mode and things like creating art are just beyond me, so maybe they are just a fellow "I've been in survival mode for years and this is my home now" person.

Found another artist where it was like "huh, they were really prolific and then they just dropped off the map... um... February 2025. Why does that timing seem significant? Oh. Oh right. Fuck."

The answer to "why don't Americans rise up" is because the entire architecture of American society is designed - at great cost to every other aspect - to make dissent difficult.

Cities aren't walkable, and are spread out across hours of roads.

Losing your job means no healthcare.

etc.

On why The Lost Boys stil
resonates after all these
years:

ALEX WINTER: I think it's the most
successful interpretation of all the
things [director Joel Schumacherl dic
well. which was fashion and music ano
understanding actors and story and
style and - I'm just gonna call a spade a
spade - homoeroticism and sexua
ambiguity and sexual adventurousness
So few people really had a forwaro
vision. And Joel coming from fashior
really did know where things were
going, so he and [costume designer
Suzy Becker and [production designer
Bo Welch, they were doing things that
almost didn't make sense to the studic

Alex Winters: He was just a homeless kid who had run away. Typical sort of '80s story, right:
Someone from a crazy, conservative part of the country who ends up running away to a warmer climate where you can survive on the street
Very similar to how kids get picked up out at
the bus station in Times Square. That is the way came at it. That was the world I knew coming from New York. It seemed fairly straightforward.
To us, David [Sutherland's character] was kind of like a pimp. What 1 had in my head about Marko's relationship with David was he was basically my pimp and sometimes you're having a sexual relationship with that person and sometimes you're not. But, there is a very bonded master-slave kind of aspect to it and then there's a lover aspect to it. Those undercurrents are all there.

They weren't something I was going to try and drive in front of the audience but they were fun to play with

Kiefer Sutherland's swaggering style
and bleached 'do may have contributec
to enduring audience fascination, but
he recently admitted another take - the
chemistry between David and Michael,
"That whole scene where I catch him in
the fog coming off the bridqe... I mean
t's a very sensual moment!" says the
actor, who still holds special affection
for a film he calls "an '80s capsule". "The Lost Boys was a massive part of my life, still is."

A cut beat from the screenplay:

DAVID
                           Let go, Michael! Let go!

Michael can't believe what he's hearing. He's scared out
                 of his wits.

                                         DAVID
                           Do it!

David lets go with one hand, clings on with the other.

                                         DAVID
                           Do it, Michael!!!

David lets go. He drops from sight; vanishing into the
                 fog below.

                 MICHAEL

Sweat streaming down his face. The final car of the
train passes overhead and the noise begins to fade.
Then Michael hears: laughter from the fog below.

                                         LOST BOYS
                           Drop, Michael. Let go! It's
safe! Come on! Don't be such a
                           baby!

They WHISTLE and CAT CALL and do everything they can to
goad him on. All the while invisible in the darkness
                 below.

Michael lets go. He drops into the fog.

His eyes widen with fright -- but -- for a moment he is
                 buoyant -- suspended in mid-air -- floating!

And then... he drops. With a WHOOSH. Like dead weight.
The wind RUSHING around his ears. He loses consciousness.

                 DAVID

                 catches him in his arms.

                                         DAVID
                           Almost.

If you ever find the last person alive claiming THE LOST BOYS isn't an extremely gay movie, it's so important that you laugh at him. Like a lot.

Between Bsky’s inevitable trajectory towards corporatization and the fact that we know this site is being scanned by people I’d rather not know much about me, I haven’t been able to bring myself to put much into this platform despite having mutuals here that I’d like to stay in touch with.

Wait can you argue abortion consultations are now legalized again because you can't just stifle the free speech of medical providers suggesting them?

Hard same. I got nervous and upgraded and this being announced now just feels like a slap in the face. 26 is trash on my SE 2022. It doesn't seem like they even tried to make it look good on this old hardware.

Instead of watching the terrible HP series, we suggest watching a new show coming out April 6th called Witch Hat Altelier!

Synopsis: Coco’s dreams of casting magic may become a reality after she uncovers a secret and becomes an apprentice.

One of the things that gets me about conspiracy theories is the underlying belief that people suck at everything. “We couldn’t have possibly gone to the moon” — why not? Why do you think so little of us? Celebrate our achievements for what they are, dang.
