If you (like me) need some wisdom, perspective, and hope in this moment, I gained some of each at this event last night. It’s totally worth a watch. www.youtube.com/live/z1MqVr2...

Any guesses on the degree to which the solar tax credits for homeowners are at risk of being undone? I know they currently go through 2032 but am reading different views about what may happen.
Excellent research and article— that found that in Canada farmers market prices were not subject to the same degree of inflation related increases as supermarkets. Local food systems can be more resilient — and even more affordable— than industrial supply chains. theconversation.com/farmers-mark...
Good news for the beloved monarch— not that it’s still in a precarious position, but because it will be afforded further protections. Having gone to the mountains they migrate to in Mexico and seen the migration up close, I have such admiration and awe for the monarch.

Anyone else love to document public recycling infrastructure? Pic from Sweden from

I held out a wee bit of hope for the Ag Secretary nominee— in terms of the list of potential folks which included some people who were pretty pro small farmer, local food systems, & sustainability. Alas, the choice that was made was not any of these folks and doesn’t seem to bring any of that… sigh.
First snow of the season! (And first one for us in years since it snowed once during our 5 years in London.)
I’m grateful to live in a relatively small metro area (in a city of 20k, near city of 120k, within metro area of 365k) in the United States that has really solid bus service. While even tiny places in Europe are often served by train and/or bus, for us it’s a luxury! I miss double deckers, though!
I think a lot about 15 minute cities, having spent the last 5 years in London (Ealing) before returning to SE Michigan. The lifestyle can’t be beat, and is physically and socially healthy for every age and level of mobility— it’s what I miss the most about the UK. www.cnu.org/publicsquare...
