Agreed on both, I was underwhelmed by Mrtka at times. Especially on the power play.
I think the window is open for them starting next season to make a deeper run.

I thought about this a lot last night and I have a couple questions for the group.

1) Will the Birds fill the empty 20 slots?

2) Will Radim Mrtka be back next season? He might be a valuable trade chip.

Enjoyed the run to making the playoffs, excited for the core group returning, curious what changes may be coming in the off season for the Birds.

Tbirds musings

1) Goal tending has about an 88% sv % collectively, which ranks about 20th in the dub. Both goalies are young, and you hope they improve.

2) The team can and has played better this season than we’re seeing now.

3) I’d love to see them fill that third 20 spot with a decent forward.

Unpopular opinion, the Mariners should definitely not re-sign Geno Suarez. Love him but look at the numbers when they brought him back, .189 average, .255 OBP, one moment in the playoffs does not make it worth a billion strikeouts.
