A coworker took this from her apartment. I haven't seen a crowd this size before. Maybe the first Women's March? But it was much much warmer that day. ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA!

Wilkie was giving off pure #CanadianVibes today, no doubt about it. We’ve had to deal with a bit of frozen-face problems this week but hey, that comes with the territory haha..

Purple volcanic rock on the left covered in lichen of green, orange, and sage. A hazy blur of tans and olive background behind a white throated bird, dappled white patterns atop a brown head. Long slender beak perfect for pulling insects out of the tiniest crack in the stone. Belly of golden fire matching the oranges of the lichen. It stares to the right intently, perched moments from flying yet again.

I’m most at home exploring rocky crags in Northwest Nevada, and Canyon Wren are a favorite bird to find. They live their lives hanging off the sides of cliffs…and this one’s prized slot canyon territory has the most incredible lichen. #birds

#AuroraBorealis put on a great show here at Wilkie Saskatchewan Canada tonight!

(And for once I got the timing right, being right on site taking photos during the most intense part of the display this time, hooray!)

Feds march into downtown Chicago; top border agent says people are arrested based on ‘how they look’ Immigration agents wearing tactical gear and carrying long guns made arrests in downtown Chicago and the River North neighborhood Sunday. “This is not making anybody safer — it’s a show of intimidatio...

Today I spoke with Greg Bovino, a top U.S. Border Patrol chief, as he led dozens of feds in military gear through downtown Chicago.

He said they were arresting folks based on “how they look.”

“How do they look compared to, say, you?” he said, referring to me.

As a US Atty, I prosecuted and oversaw police excessive force cases. We took them seriously because they were serious abuses of power. What we're seeing now is the outbreak of an epidemic & instead of being condemned by fed'l law enforcement leaders, it seems to be tolerated if not encouraged.
