The carousel is such a bizarre addition. On the Other Website it was there because it allowed Twitter to inflate its engagement metrics by up to 4x because people would have to tap on a post multiple times to see images. this website doesn't track those metrics! They just changed things for the vibe

You might think there's a redeeming factor in Earth Defense Force 6 despite it being a bad game, but it being bad is part of the draw, and it is bad in so many ways that will surprise you. Genuinely a game that would've lived on the 360, released in 2024 for 60 of god's own dollars

Earth Defense Force - bad voice acting, bad gameplay, horrible story, bad art direction, poor framerate. People made all these assets and slapped it together and it was bad. Earth Defense Force 6 is 60 dollars

Nobody makes bad games like Earth Defense Force anymore. Developers used to make bespoke game engines for their horrible experiences. There simply is no charm in a bad game if it's made in Unreal Engine or Unity

Word of Radiance says "Burning radiance erupts from you in a 5-foot Emanation" and an Emanation "moves with the creature or object that is its origin unless it is an instantaneous or a stationary effect" so you can, RAW, cast it from the Duplicate's position

popping Word of Radiance from the position of the Duplicate seems straightforward except the range is Self and affects an area around yourself, and it's unclear if this means you can have the Word of Radiance come from your position or the Duplicate's position

This is word salad to most people but this is important in the edge case of Spirit Guardians which creates a danger zone around the caster, the problem didn't exist in 2014 because Invoke Duplicity required Concentration but it doesn't in 2024, so what happens in that use case is questionable

TIL that Gaze of Two Minds and Invoke Duplicity's "You can cast spells [inculding Concentration spells] as if you were in another space" rules were both introduced in 2024 and none of the spells with a range of "Self (Area)" take this into account and vice versa

It's still so crazy that in 2024 a huge chunk of bsky's userbase hit a peak of "we're ready to pay subscriptions for bigger features and support the platform, just tell us when it drops 🫡" and then within six months the Bsky team gleefully cut through all that good will with surgical precision
