Could post a man holding a geoduck
Almost 50 years ago, had a professor slip The Left Hand of Darkness into an otherwise bone-dry philosophy intro course. We loved it so much.
🎶Doo doo doo doo doo doo🎶
"Whooooo are you to tell me what to do?"
What a treasure!
haha Great name
I remember! In the 70s, meeting a fellow Bowieite felt like finding long-lost family.
Ready for Klimt to paint
The glamour of meeethane
Also a good band name
baby's first record buy 1967 Monkees 45 Daydream Believer/Goin Down
American-- it still has the price tag on it-- 65 cents. The store was on an American military base in Japan and a discount delight, apparently, as my father bought a roomful of excellent Japanese stereo equipment there
Thanks for the memory unlock. Suddenly it's 1967 and child-me is buying my first record, a 45 of Daydream Believer, in a Navy Exchange in Japan
I still have this set. I was 15 and had to look up a lot of words, but I loved it so much.
Love Staymans. They slap you in the face and shout I'M AN APPLE
Outstanding interview! Important to document these brilliant musicians. I've always loved Red Sails (and the Monkees) and had no idea of the connection.

I get knocked down but I get up again
A salute to hypnotic cuttlefish
I can almost hear Vince's "How can she SAY that?!!" when Morgan drops it on him
Like Dracula enveloping his prey
Love the alt text

Sourwood trees! I've always wondered what these are. Gorgeous colors in fall and fragrant flowers in spring. Thank you
Exquisite
Teach her to say, "Move it along, toots"
A perfect album
Jack Horkheimer! I remember it was so cheesy but somehow really interesting. A lot of PBS stations ran it late at night
Bowie's beautiful mugshot on a mug
Very nice! Cheers with my mugshot mug
And they make that purr-crackalacka noise
We're taught body shame early. It's how they control us. Six decades later, I still remember crying in shame as a five-year-old girl, the one time I was made to play outside with no shirt. I had no idea why, except that it was a girl-body thing.
