It was a pleasure meeting with the dedicated staff from West Park Elementary School District.
We had a productive discussion on key issues impacting students and families, including workforce development, federal education priorities, and the importance of online safety and student privacy.
Programs like Food for Peace show that we can lead with both strength and compassion while advancing stability around the world.
I was proud to join Bread for the World for a bipartisan Food for Peace reception, where we highlighted the program’s critical role in combating global hunger and delivering lifesaving assistance to more than 45 million people in 35 countries.
Food insecurity is a global issue that demands serious, sustained attention.
Wishing these future leaders in the agricultural industry the very best of luck—our state and the Valley are fortunate to have them.
I had the opportunity to share my experience in Congress as a senior member of the House Agriculture Committee, discuss my priorities, and answer their thoughtful questions.
It was great to meet and speak with Class 55 of the California Agricultural Leadership Program during their visit to Washington this week.
I’m grateful for their important work—because when our students succeed, America succeeds!
We discussed the institute’s vital role in preparing the next generation of public leaders in the San Joaquin Valley, as well as its work connecting students across the Central Valley with valuable internship opportunities at the local, state, and federal levels.

As prices climb, from gas to everyday essentials, families in our Valley and across the nation are being left behind and forced to foot the bill. That’s just plain wrong.
The President promised $1,000 in additional tax refunds, but instead, Americans are seeing tax returns that are 65% smaller as costs continue to rise. It’s clear these promises aren’t being kept.
With more than 2,500 associates employed across our Valley, we had a meaningful discussion on workforce development, supply chain logistics, retail operations, community engagement, and sustainability—along with Walmart’s vital contributions to our local and state economy.
