"Maintainers" have to look at each pull request to determine if they're correct, relevant, or even in the same language. Good pull requests get worked into the engine, bad ones usually get argued down or forcibly removed. This ends up being a looot of work for a popular FOSS project.
A "pull request" is basically a post on the Github equivalent of a "forum" for a project which outlines an issue, error, or proposal for the project, and could even include new code or changes. cont. ->
