I used to have a gopher snake and a California king snake as "pets". They lived about 20 years.
Where I live now, there are garter snakes. Out here they eat huge European slugs. I was lucky enough to see one swallowing one. Quite a sight.

I recently heard about this.
Mountain gorillas, endangered and almost extinct at one time, are now beginning to come back.
One reason -- programs teaching people to grow coffee beans, so they don't have to poach.
