An old woman in a confession booth says "I had to bury that poor clown, and I don't think I'll ever get that soup stain out of my knickers. So, how many hail maries for that one?". The priest, with a traumatised expression, says "Jesus. Fucking. Christ. That certainly is an original sin."
I did a comic
It's the first one I've done, so be nice or I'll make another comic with a character called Mr. Bum who looks disconcertingly like you

GB News headline:
GP who asked Muslim woman to remove her veil 'because he was struggling to understand her' is struck off.
Was this GP struck off just because he asked a Muslim woman to remove her veil?
How likely does that sound? 🤷♀️
Did he actually ask her to remove her veil 'because he was struggling to understand her?'
Let's take a look at what really happened based on the tribunal reports...

Yep. It didn't feel that long. I thought it was a little over-hyped, but was still a lovely movie.

Today is International Trans Day of Visibility. To all my trans and non-binary friends (including those I haven't met yet), know that you are valid, you are enough, and you are loved.
It's also the 27th anniversary of the US release of The Matrix, one of the great trans allegory movies.

It’s Trans Day of Visibility in a world where that’s been harder than ever. Salute to those who are bravely out, to those who wish they could be so, and to those who didn’t make it to this day.
Believe trans people. Simple as that.

I reckon if they take a commission in your merch, you should get a commission on their bar. You could retire on 20% from the ice cream!

Handy tip for cis folk, we aren't an idea, like freedom or liberty, we are actual flesh and blood people. So if you're going to write a thread about us, make sure you get a trans friend to read it first, and if you don't have a trans friend, ask yourself why the fuck not and stop writing about us

I've just seen it I was so hoping you were mistaken, but no. I've been looking forward to seeing it for ages, and I'm disappointed. I liked the styling, and the music was ok, but the plot and movie in general, less so.
They could/should have cut 40 mins out of it.

It dragged in a few places, but I enjoyed it. It was different from the impression that the trailer gave.

The tour was great. Sacha is an awesome guide; even a few bystanders were captivated by his stories!
Would definitely recommend!

Really looking forward to having a LGBTQ+ tour of the British Museum by @sachacoward.bsky.social this evening.
Now, to find other fun things to do in London before then!

TW: child death (I don't know how to mark text as spoiler)
I saw some of the quilt when it was on display at Tate Modern last June. I found that one moving, but was absolutely floored by a panel devoted to a two-month-old.

Yeah, but how long is it going to take? You've not even got to the first musical number yet!

URGENT 🚨 We have just one week to stop Sex Matters infiltrating a vote to ban conversion therapy.
We must stop them. Use our tool and tell the MPs to stand up for what's right ✊

Could you remonstrate by doing your whole show on my doorstep to show me what I'd be missing out on?

I don't know about this, Woody. Maybe the guitar could say 'This machine gives fascists better training'?

The German, English and French editions of The Manga Bible (there are more but we're waiting for copies!) against a background of promo materials. The cover shows a Baron Yoshimoto manga page in black on a hot pink background. The title is in bright yellow block capitals with the author's name in smaller white block capitals below. The German edition, which uses the title "Manga: der definitive guide" has 'Manga' in yellow and the subtitle in white. The French edition "La Bible du Manga" has La and du in outline yellow block caps and Bible and Manga in solid yellow block caps. Each translated edition can vary the title and cover for its own language because literal translations don't always make sense to the local reader.
#Manga podcasters and bloggers - my new book THE MANGA BIBLE is out in March 2026. You could say it's the full meal version of the supersnack 'A Brief History of Manga' with all the trimmings - or you could invite me for a chat. Contact the PR team at Ilex Press via info@octopusbooks.co.uk soon.

That's one of my traditions; to go through Radio Times highlighting everything I want to watch.
You can't do it to the Argos catalogue any more, so we need to keep these traditions going before they're lost to history.

That sounds intriguing. An interesting way to reflect and focus. I'll read a bit more about it and might give that a try too.

Anyone can become disabled.
Anyone can become chronically ill.
It’s not a choice. It’s not a moral failing. It’s not something you can “try harder” your way out of.
You can be the healthiest person in the world & completely disabled in an instant.
It’s a minority group you can join anytime.
