"A Sanhedrin that would execute somebody once every seven years is a bloody court. Rabbi Elazar Ben Azariah says: 'Once every 70 years.' Rabbi Tarfon and Rabbi Akiva said: 'If we were on the Sanhedrin we would never have killed anyone!'" - Mishnah Makkot 1:10

A lot of technological advancement is a double-edged sword.
Vaccines, on the other hand, are just an uncomplicated positive (and often free!). A literal medical miracle, and people are finding reasons to not take them.

Sorry, but if I find out that you hooked an AI agent up to a signal chat you’re in, I’m never trusting you with anything ever again
NJ lawmakers introduce the FUCK ICE Act.
The bill "permits civil action for violations of US Constitution related to immigration enforcement."
there's a lot of reason to doubt him!

You can't... repeal... a scientific finding. At that point it's just called lying about it.
So this is dystopian as hell and I can't believe this is real...

And if you’re new here, abortion bans are not just a violation of the 14th amendment, but the 1st amendment as well— both Establishment Clause AND Free Exercise Clause.
You deserve access to abortion care if you are pregnant and do not want to be. Full stop.
Your reasons are your reasons and they are good enough.
Abortion is healthcare and everyone deserves healthcare access.
When a sitting representative refers to the Super Bowl halftime show as “pornography,” people should use that to reflect on how they and other representatives are simultaneously working to ban, censor, and restrict “pornography” and what that actually means
Ragnar Blackwolf writes: Hypothetically if someone was accused of having sex with goats by over 30 different people and regularly denied it, but also dropped very public hints about how much he liked to have sex with goats for decades, and ran a goat pageant to find the best looking goats, and was best friends with someone who got convicted of fucking goats and trafficking goats to friends all over the world who also liked to fuck goats, and his name was in the classified goat fucker chronicles 5,000 times, and he wished other goat fuckers well in prison, what do you think the odds are that person is also a goat fucker?

Sound Transit issued a key to me without complaint and I also have emails at my own domain (though I do not self-host).
A cash register display showing transit arrival data for two routes: the Swift Orange BRT line operated by Community Transit and the 1 Line light rail operated by Sound Transit. Both are arriving within the next few minutes.
I wrote some basic integration with OneBusAway now.

Man, someone sounds really mad that a bunch of Minneapolis soccer moms can manage op-sec while the Secretary of Defense texts his battle plans to the editor in chief of the Atlantic.
In evaluating the whining about “doxxing” — by which they mean identifying federal employees who killed someone under color of law - remember this administration cooperates with a large cadre of obedient bootlicker Right media that leaps to the tasks of viciously lying about anyone they kill.

Quite a change to go from "these were domestic terrorists and their killings were totally justified, heroic even" to "no one wants these people killed, how DARE you suggest trump wants this." I wonder if the press will be capable of covering this shameless flailing as a scandal
I am not a normal computer user: I am currently watching the status of a long-running backup restore by having `sudo watch ls -l /proc/$PID/fd` open in a terminal to see what file is being written.

This is all just for fun. The questions are supposed to get harder as they go on, but you'll have to let me know if I managed to do that part successfully.
It's not hard.
Speak with clarity.
This is, in my opinion, not only the correct moral/ethical/legal position but also the correct political framing. Everyone can see the agency is out of control; everyone can see that it is constantly violating human rights. "Scrap it and start over" is the moderate position.
This isn't just a casual observation. Fascism scholars have long made this point. It's why calling them "weird" was a more effective strategy than talking about the prices of eggs. Fascism is an aesthetic political movement - you need to make people feel embarassed and horrified by it.
OK, right here you're found the problem and please sit with this:
emotions are running very high. emotional intelligence is needed in this moment in addition to logic.
democrats are failing the emotional intelligence test right now and people are mad about it.
If it helps, people are mad at Democrats because many of their social media presences produce comms which address what's happening as though we're simply dealing with the consequences of going along with a bad restaurant recommendation.
The food isn't just bad, we want to shut down the restaurant.
For those keeping score, Bellingcat, The New York Times Visual Investigation Team, & Washington Post's Visual Forensic team have all published analysis showing the ICE shooter wasn't in the path of Renee Nicole Good’s vehicle when he shot her, contradicting statements by the President & his cronies
The murderer’s name is Jonathan Ross.
