Cancer update: Week 3/6 in the bag. That’s right, I’m halfway there! As if I didn’t have enough to complain about now the radiation has apparently caused a UTI. I’m so ready for this to be over.

I’m still miserable, but I know I can do this.

Radiation week 2 of 6 is in the bag…started week 3 today.
The nausea is so bad, but to be honest the whole my-saliva-taste-like-salt water is the worst of my symptoms. I won’t give up…but I want to.

Ok. What am I doing wrong? Do I not have enough followers? Am I not following enough people? Do I need to use the proper hashtags? I made a post about fighting cancer a couple of days ago & crickets…no words of encouragement or promises of prayers…nothing. I’m starting to think ya’ll don’t like me.

pt 3- This has been the hardest thing ever. But, I’m a fighter and won’t give up. I may never be on air again or record another audiobook…but I can live. Love you all!

pt 2- after the removal of all the cancer…they did a reconstruction, taking a bone from my leg and using it to rebuild my jawbone. The surgery took 13 hours but they said they got clear margins…yay! Now, I’m almost through week one of six of radiation treatments.

pt 1- I realized tonight that I hadn’t told all my blue sky peeps what was going on with me. I’m fighting cancer…specifically oral cancer. I had surgery in December to remove the cancer, which meant removing my right jawbone & all of the lymph nodes in my neck (because the cancer had gotten to them)

I lost my Mom almost 2 years ago…. I wish I could go back and spend more time with her…and she was my best friend, we spent a LOT of time together. Make memories you can smile about and live off of later.
