New Orleans is seeking $5 million in federal aid to assess and remediate lead in soil at city playgrounds.
That's after an investigation from @veritenews.org and KFF Health News found high levels of lead contamination at playgrounds throughout the city.
BREAKING: We filed a lawsuit to demand more information from the Trump administration regarding their treatment of unaccompanied pregnant youth in federal custody.
As a result of our lawsuit, guards at "Alligator Alcatraz" are required to allow people detained at the facility to call their lawyers, in accordance with the Constitution.
Yet when our clients asserted their right to access phones, guards brutally beat them. ICE must be held accountable.
