What do people think of Trump's pick for Chief Sorcerer, I'm worried his background is in blood magic instead of divination and warding
The Travelling Waleburys?
Particularly in a fictional world that has the multiverse concept.
New story doesn't quite fit in with the old story? Must be a different universe, let's not worry about it.
It's been going on so long it's practically elder abuse. Leave the poor man alone, don't give him literary prizes.
That's a long time ago. Maybe your memory is playing tricks
Pat Butcher, the EastEnders character, was CGI.
Bob Dylan's critical reputation is a practical joke that got out of hand.
No-one enjoys watching football.
But where will it stop? Particularly with so much intellectual property owned by Disney? In order for the next Aliens film to make sense, will we need to watch a new version of the Little Mermaid? Will they add additional scenes to Home Alone in order to sell the next Star Wars film?
I'm no screenwriter, so tell me if I'm missing something, but couldn't they tell the story in the film they're writing? Is it normal to put a bit of a screenplay into a different film rather than the film you're making?
There used to a pop song every year named "Hero" and the chorus was always "You're a hero deep inside / don't ever let your hero hide". But then 9/11 happened, and every pop song was named "Party Booty (Bootyhole Remix) feat DJ A$$crack". And if it isn't true don't correct me.
this sounds kinda like a "who cares" achievement but its a very exciting milestone for rich guys who are extremely invested in a future where robots they control are slavedrivers and prison guards for the rest of the human population
There was a Wrestlemania?!
Ok, I did know really. But I'm a lapsed fan, I've paid them money before, they have my email address. And I pay attention to wrestling news. They didn't even try to get me to watch, didn't sell a new exciting match up. I honestly don't even know what the main event was.
The staff can tell you if the toilets are in good enough condition. All the info you need you can just ask the people you employ.
The other day I used the public toilet at Paddington station. There was a touch screen outside asking how I'd rate the toilets.
Why? What is that data for? There's no mystery about what people want from toilets - they want them to be clean and functional.
This survey is apparently asking the customer why they called. But the company would know that if they answered the call, so why ask?
Nah, not even that. Answers to customer surveys are meaningless. What matters is customer behaviour. Track that and stop asking about opinions.
Eeep! Hope all is well.

Can you get me some morphine?
Apple. Set in my mind decades ago as an overpriced poser's brand. No idea if that's actually still accurate.
Am I right to? Or am I a pedantic nerdy musician who should accept that words have colloquial as well as technical meanings?
*Resists the urge to go on my normal rant about what the word 'atonal' means*
It is a good song, yes.
So on my commute home I put on Powerslave. Have you heard 'Flash of the Blade'? It's a really good song with possibly the best middle section of any Maiden song with that neo classical guitar break.
Really great track. Don't know why you were dissing it.
Sorry, she's doing wot?
I have in my family tree a Hannah Tulip and her father Friend Tulip.
Maybe HHH is a big fan of Bertolt Brecht and wants to do the alienation thing - take you out of it emotionally so you engage intellectually instead?
Maybe he's really into early 20th century European theatre.

Plus 2.
I have seen a lot of NIMBY selfishness in my time, but "my convenience matters more than cancer care" is a new low. Quite seriously tempted to email them and tell them as much.
If you think about it, most of us are just one small decision away from having to swordfight a group of animated skeletons brought to life by a deranged dark wizard.
Matt Walsh @MattWalshBlog A weird thing is that whenever I post criticism of Al, the majority of the people agreeing with me seem to be leftists. It's pretty much the only position I hold that seems to be more popular with the left than the right. It should be the opposite. My whole point about Al (especially Al in creative fields) is that it isn't human, it doesn't have a soul, and we cannot surrender our society to an unhuman soulless algorithm even if it makes our lives easier in some ways. It's very strange that an argument predicated on the existence of the soul resonates with the left while conservatives tend to scoff at it. 3:02 PM • Mar 12, 2026 • 748.5K Views
"for unknown reasons, my mortal enemies appear to be concerned with the core essence of humanity in a way that my allies are not. oh well, better not think about it too hard."
