Our district here in Cincinnati includes most of the downtown areas and then snakes out and includes a whole bunch of suburbs and rural areas. You can probably guess which demographics in the city are being kept in check by this map

When I was doing that in the Bay Area the number of times I got clipped by cyclists jumping on the sidewalk or ignoring pedestrian right of way was insane.
