Ur right things were (4 some still is) automatically assumed back then & considered innocent conversations with children. Also, u touched down on the extra push 4 heteronormative assimilation if they thought a boy or girl didn't fit the outward appearance of their gender.

As long as it's done under the guise of gearing an 8-year-old up to have heteronormative relationships it's all good - so sad ☹️.
