Rain and snow alike
Tears and smiles alike.
Blankets of wet and white
Pillows that fall fast and slow
A bed soft and bright
Dreams without an echo.

In a way
Are like keys.
They're only as good
As what they unlock.
Early morning,
Cafรฉ de Flore,
Paris.
She looks up in my direction
Sometimes,
And from here I can smell
Her perfume.
Fast heart,
Slow kiss.
Cold day,
Warm kiss.
Hard times,
Soft kiss.
Short life,
Long kiss...
Problem,
- kiss.
Light makes a temple
As it falls
In columns
Through the branches
Of a young Sycamore tree.
And when the sun sets,
Stretching the columns on one side,
In the darkness of dawn,
The temple
Falls.
A homeless man
Asked me for change.
I apologized
And he smiled.
I apologized again
But this time
I felt it.

The sun rises
And the scared remains of night
Hide behind the big trees.
Pulling on flowers
Doesn't make them grow faster.

Sometimes on the highway
I see beautiful houses
That I'd like to live in.
Then I remember
They're close to the highway.
I turned on the fire
And the wood blushed.
To be or not to be,
That is our freedom.
Not that I don't want to work,
But even my chair
Yawned
When I pulled it.
The tiny flame
At the tip of a candle
Wobbles & I wonder
If there's anything I can do
To help.
Music lingers around us
Hiding in silence
Waiting for someone
To turn on a radio.
The crackling of a vinyl record
Reminds me that
Silence too gets old.
A butterfly
Stumbles in the air
Like a drunken man
Towards Heaven.
At a cafรฉ, a girl is writing something down.
She has one shoe off.
I don't know why but that makes me very curious to know what she's writing about.
Black and white photo of an older middle aged white man leaning over a bar. Encircled in his arms is a small white and black kitten. It seems like a tender moment between them, the man's head drooping forward toward the kitten as it sits calmly and also looks down.
