I have the same character limit as you. I choose my words carefully and spread the text across replies. I’d rather put in the effort than make a sloppy argument on a topic people are extremely sensitive about, sensitivity caused by well chosen words from someone who turned a solution into a problem.

And there are some men who would’ve died had they not been circumcised. Everything in life is a calculated risk. This is low risk, hi reward.
I suspect that’s why people spreading that lie use the word “botched.” Which is not a medical term, but an unrelated word chosen to create a sense of disgust. Complications are incredibly rare. More women die in childbirth in the US than infant boys have serious complications from circumcision.
Um, that’s not true? You should probably get your facts straight if you’re going to rely on them to argue. Statistics of complications from circumcision are kept just as rigorously as for other medical procedures. Yes that means it’s not done perfectly, but your statement was wrong at its core.
Again, not *all* uncut guys have to contend with this, but zero cut ones do. For me the most compelling is penile cancer. You get it when you’re old sure, but I don’t care if I was dead: I still wouldn’t want someone cutting my penis off. This is *common* for uncut senior men, doesn’t happen to cut.
Repeated bladder infections in infant boys that sometimes leads to kidney loss. That actually does happen to some uncircumcised boys. But to zero cut ones. Nasty fungi and bacteria that make it hard to pull the skin back and clean, setting up a cycle of tighter skin and more infections.
No one *has* to mope about being cut. They choose to see the bad things about it (basically the fact that they weren’t in control) and fail to look at or believe the reality of the health consequences suffered by a number of the uncircumcised, things that don’t happen to cut boys and men.
Feeling like you lost *so* *much* when you were circumcised is just jumping on an excuse to be melodramatic and through a neverending pity party. I see absolutely no parallels with the journey that a trans person must make. I can’t think of anything more difficult, but they have to do it.
And sure, the head becomes less sensitive. But what’s a sensation? It’s a physical feeling, but the word tells you nothing about whether those “”sensations” are good. And in my 35 years of being attached to a foreskin, it gave me plenty of unpleasant sensations. Which are gone, now that it also is.
Even tried to cut it off with a razorblade when I was 13. So yeah, there’s a lot of emotion there. But come on! What trans people go through completely eclipses anything these guys are doing. Most of them have no clue what they’re even talking about. Sure the foreskin is a sensitive piece of skin.
I think it’s insulting to trans people to compare guys romanticizing and fantasizing about their missing foreskins to gender dysphoria. They’re nowhere near the same level. I had the same thing in reverse: I was pissed that no one circumcised me, I hated my foreskin.
