Last sessions teaching at 92y after 17 years. I’ve taught hundreds of people there and use to teach 6 times a week , it’s gotten to be maybe one responsibility too many so I’ve asked them to take me off schedule. Always weird to leave a place

When I was a kid it used to really seem insane to picture The day his powers flipped on. Did they ever do a more in depth story about that ? I pictured having to close your eyes all day or destroy everything , seemed like a real raw deal

Watched “corvette summer” last night, I loved this movie as a little kid. Cinematography much better than any movie being made at this level now would be. Mark Hammil’s Hair is amazing (- so many of these movies the hair looks like a wig ) as his androgynous overall beauty and look at Annie Potts!

Last few films - I saw hunt the Wilderpeople last night and it’s
like Rushmore if it was done by the creator of What we do in the Shadows. Woman of the hour: initially snapped it off after ten minutes as a Netflix half ass true crime cash grab - it’s much better than that and I recommend it

Part 2 of movie round up - I’ve never seen Possession before and it’s a masterpiece. I’ve seen donate afternoon many times first time was on late night tv while in high school in the 80s. Very interesting rewatch in 2025 . Watched Being There as well many times over the years

I’ve been meaning to do a sort of public post of the films I watched during this break from school - have been watching stuff late at night while coloring my graphic novel or writing or doing desk work. It’ll be a multi part post and I’ll maybe describe some of the movies if I can find bandwidth
