Gladiator Spider - Art Gacha

The theme of the first three of the Arach-Nine: transformation to compete in a world full of super-humans. Something Dr. Kennedy Devlin (Gladiator Spider) felt too, to go from being unnoticed to being respected. Difference is, even with one selfish desire, she also really wanted to help people.

Wind Scorpion, based on the Solifugae, is a supervillain that built a fast-moving set of mechanical legs. However it wasn't enough to compete, and he bought actual super powers after. He has all the usual super-arachnid abilities, but also retractable fangs that can cut through steel.

Maneater, based on Goliath Birdeater Tarantulas, is the second hand man from a gang that had grown obsolete in a world of super heroes and villains. The gang paid for his powers to be relevant again. Despite his appearance, and the fact he can't speak on his own, he's cool headed and intelligent.

Mirror Spider, based on Mirror Spiders, a rich internet celebrity. She bought superpowers to become a hero and she streams her antics online. Even having an app called Web Line where people send her tips on crime or disasters. She's just in it for the fame though, and is ugly on the inside.

Gladiator Spider needed villains. I didn't want 'Variations of Peter's Foes', but I did want something that felt like a Spider-Man story. So I came up with 9 foes made with Glady's stolen research. First three are Mirror Spider, Maneater, and Wind Scorpion. Art by @bilcassonato.bsky.social

6 7 is the recent meme number. No one really knows why.

6 is Slaanesh's holy number, 7 is Nurgle's holy number.

Took awhile for the weather to give me a day good for varnishing (I also forgot it like twice). But I finally got around to flocking this, the last thing I painted in 2025.

I have a second one still in box too, not sure if I'll make it the same or different.

You know what, don't bother answering. I'm still going to find another solution rather than trusting Discord with delicate information. I am not in fact required to give them money or use their program.

Just so it's clear, you're telling me that a law in one country or state says "This services require ID to prove someone from our country/state is an adult." that there is no way Discord could just program their service to effect people in those locations, and not say, me, someone in Canada?

Not every country has those same laws. And it is entirely possible to have these changes only effect accounts made in certain countries.

Chaos Spawn of Nurgle

I love this weird old metal model, and it became my practice piece for painting Nurgle Demons in the future. It's fun to goop things up with Nurgles Rot and Blood for the Blood God too.

Crypt Banshee

Dwarf Gyrocopter

Painted in late December, just haven't been able to get it varnished and the flock added until now.

It's a little bit sad that this is basically the centerpiece in a dwarf army. (Why couldn't we get that tank?)

Oh joy, a second Warhammer World. In a second country I don't feel safe traveling too.

Maybe if the Americans don't declare war on us Canadians in order to annex us the future, I can ask a friend to visit it when it's built and get me some of those neat exclusive models.
