Latest Hudson & Rex update: looking at Citytv’s instagram story, season 9 will be releasing sometime soon (potentially February), which is rather unfortunate given the fact that like season 8, Charlie will not be in it, as I’ve heard no news about John Reardon getting his job back.
So now that Season 7 of #HudsonAndRex has ended, we are waiting for renewal news. Until we get that news, I will not be posting on this account but I hope everyone enjoyed season 7!

Diesel was only in the first 2 episodes of Season 7, & Dillon & Dante took over as Rex starting at episode 3. Episode 6 just aired last night in Canada & if I hadn’t known that it wasn’t Diesel playing Rex, I would’ve thought it was him because of how good his nephews are in taking on the role.
On Tuesday February 11, 2025, Sherri Davis made the heartbreaking announcement that Diesel Vom Burgimwald had passed during the filming of season 7 of #HudsonAndRex (He passed in August) & that his nephews Dillon & Dante stepped up to continue his legacy as Rex.
