Look at this chart.

Tax cuts for the rich are a policy choice. Cutting the social safety net in exchange for them is a policy choice.

States like New York have an opportunity to help undo this trickle down nonsense by raising taxes on the rich (who will still be rich).

I hope Gov. Hochul does.

The media blackout of Jared Kushner’s historic, ongoing corruption scandal As Trump's son-in-law returns to Pakistan for more talks with Iran, major news outlets are largely ignoring an egregious

As Trump's war on Iran continues, reminder that his own son-in-law Jared Kushner — who is leading negotiations with Iran — stands to profit from lucrative contracts with its regional rivals.

War gives dictators like Trump (and his family) more power and more wealth.

EVERY governmental system, from local on up to the top, needs to have a clear structure for removing someone who needs to leave office ASAP but refuses to resign.

One day says Galileo,
A man will reach the sky,
And see the world completely,
From outside,
And gazing down from yonder,
On a world of blue and green,
He'll say with eyes of wonder,
I have seen, I have seen,
My eyes have seen,
I have seen,
My eyes have seen.

And the ammosexuals sure in the hell have proven that they don't care about "government tyranny", because they're all members of the MAGA cult, or off in Libertarian lala land.

Firearms are a cancer eating the USA alive.

Normal, well-adjusted people don't think a deity gave them the right to carry around guns. They understand that firearms are a tool that is designed to cause harm, and that public safety should be paramount in ownership and usage. They don't act like carrying is an act of virility.

250 years ago, people who were carrying flintlocks and engaging in actively driving people off their lands, and having to hunt for food, and dealing with a hostile government said "Hey, we should be able to form militias".

That's it. That's what it was for. Not ALL THE GUNS ALL THE TIME.

The facts are absolutely plain to see- but the people who equate gun ownership with power refuse to see it. They don't want national background checks. They don't want insurance. They don't want mandatory safety training. They just want to own weaponry because it makes them feel bigger.

Black and American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN) people have the highest firearm mortality rates of any racial or ethnic group.

Why? Because our society is inherently built on racism, and these are the populations most impacted by that social inequity.

Nearly all U.S. states have a higher firearm mortality rate than most other countries. Death rates due to physical violence by firearm in U.S. states are closer to rates seen in countries experiencing active conflict.

Individual STATES are worse than places like El Salvador, and Guatemala.

The U.S. has among the highest overall firearm mortality rates, as well as among the highest firearm mortality rates for children, adolescents, and women, both globally and among high-income countries.

None of the countries that are higher are considered "First World" countries.

Globally, the U.S. ranks at the 93rd percentile for overall firearm mortality, 92nd percentile for children and teens, and 96th percentile for women.

That is, we have ALMOST 100% more firearm mortality than the rest of the world.

Other countries have mental health issues. Other countries have economic stressors. Other countries play violent video games and watch violent movies, and have cultures of toxic masculinity.

They don't have the guns and gun fetishization. We do. The core problem is the guns.

So when you take a society that has normalized unfettered gun ownership, created an environment were gun violence is expected as part of life, and you throw in economic stressors, lack of social supports, utterly inadequate mental health supports, and stoke those with rage and despair, you get death

The fact is that we glorify guns in the USA. We treat them like sacred objects. In our media, our entertainment, our societal norms, gun violence is taken as a given, a thing that just exists. Gun ownership and display is culturally enshrined as proof of virility and strength.

If your reaction is to say "65 million *visits*, not 65 million *men*!" then you need to do some serious self-reflection on why that is more important to you than the fact that a marital rape share site exists.

Emissions go down *even further* when we maintain work from home, and create transit-only urban centers.

Most office jobs are 100% effective from any space- but employers want the illusion of control that comes from mandating on site work.

#Democrats need to be running on a platform of Accountability and Consequences first and foremost. Everything else follows from knowing that none of the current regime is going to get away with the damage they've done.

Tesla. Disney. CVS Health. United Airlines. PayPal. Billions in profits. $0 in federal corporate income taxes.
That money should be funding schools, healthcare, and public services.
This is why people are mad as hell.
