Periodically I’ll spend a little time looking into something, and maybe you’ll learn something too. Today the topic is Bitcoin. Here’s what I learned in about 30 minutes. Perhaps it’ll spark an interest of yours, or provide something to discuss with your own advisers.

Evidently I was not included in the mass “follow” of Trump and Vance that Meta did for all of our convenience/edification. Thank heaven for small miracles.

My preference would be a universal single payer system, funded with a flat payroll tax, from which high income/high net worth people could opt out to buy private coverage or self insure. It’s not perfect but it’s better than the OK Corral.

I stated years ago, I thought the only “moral” private health or disability insurer corporate form would be a mutual - owned by the policyholders themselves, with a governing board of policyholders. But that’s not what we’ve got.

So, just like it’s never “the right time” to discuss gun violence, it’s just not the right time to discuss the morality of the US healthcare finance system.

Rather than discuss the morality of the system, we’re more likely to provide senior healthcare execs with round the clock Secret Service!

When the Supreme Court decided Citizens United by 5-4, did they contemplate how the richest man on Earth would take over a political party to do his bidding?

The answer is not to have other plutocrats take over other parties.

GOP-controlled Legislature rejects bills on affordable housing, property insurance, Medicaid expansi... House Republicans overwhelmingly reject a last ditch effort by Democrats to expand special session to include housing, property insurance and gun violence.

Not surprisingly, my opponent voted with his fellow Republicans to reject consideration of measures in the “special session” that would benefit Floridians not named Ron DeSantis. I can imagine a better Florida.
