like Jump is basically the only verb that matters in DKC, even the level gimmicks are just different ways of informing that. I think considering that it's very cool just how many great levels they got out of that

I don't like how those games look and there's some jank (bad) I'm not huge on, namely collision unclear and some inputs with throwing Diddy don't feel great, but it's fun playing a platformer with no Air Dash or Double Jump or much of anything to help you if you fuck it

DKC discourse is interesting cuz I've only seen Dogshit or Great and I'm not here to be a centrist cuz I think 2 is particularly a great game I'm just kinda of surprised how far we go in each direction
