I think the supermarket stuff has no other flavouring except salt because they want to increase the shelf life… which does make it pretty boring. When you’re at home you can get stock and bay leaves and butter etc etc

I hated it as a kid but I think I enjoy the subtle nutty favour now.

Hard disagree. I’ve been making my own recently and it’s great.

It’s not fake they are actually written by hand and copied and then put in a hand addressed envelope. It’s a lot of work!

🇪🇺🏳️‍🌈⚖️🇭🇺 A legal earthquake - CJEU finds Hungary to have violated EU law on multiple counts with its anti-LGBT+ legislation (as expected) but also for the first time in history, in an EU law-reshaping precedent, finds Hungary to violate Art 2 TEU in a self-standing manner.

Now I’ve got my complaints about Ed Davey but I am getting tired of this weird commentary about his position. We are up in the polls after our best election result ever and now set gains in Scotland (and hopefully Wales) and our 8th consecutive year of council seat gains. Calm down everybody.

I enjoy these posts because it really reminds me how different my Bluesky experience is from those of you with big followings.

I just barely ever see these people!

They very occasionally come into my mentions when I post about weak defence policy but that’s it.

I don’t envy you

Started a new job last year and through a set of confusing circumstances I have basically ended up in the closet at work for the first time in my life which is not really where I expected to be when I’m pushing 40 honestly.

The problem with Starmer's argument (well one of them) is that it depends on an assertion that he wouldn't have appointment Mandelson if he'd known he'd failed vetting.

But he appointed him before vetting was complete.

I’m pretty sure people said Gordon Brown looked miserable all the time!

Speaker of the House, the Right Honourable Foghorn Leghorn MP in the House of Commons, speaking.

All I'm saying is, Parliament would be much more watchable if the Speaker of the House was an AI hologram of Foghorn Leghorn.

"I said, I said, let the Right Honourable boy finish this here statement to the House!"

Makes you think.

The sad fact is that when you engage in a debate about niche issues like elite sports you’re actually helping shift the Overton window in favour of men like this who actively want to eradicate trans people.

Based on my experience of delivering leaflets, the NHS should simply prescribe volunteering for the Lib Dems as an obesity cure.

Could save the taxpayer a fortune

Time to retire “gender critical views”. Recognition of material reality is not a quaint niche belief. Gender identity ideology on the other hand is delusional, toxic and incompatible with science, and should disqualify adherents from all responsible posts.

Gender Critical Commitment to Free Speech:

Here's prominent Gender Critical barrister Naomi Cunningham saying anyone who disagrees with her beliefs on sex should be disqualified "from all responsible posts".

Do you reckon they might just be using the "free speech" thing as a reactionary wedge?

The only words he can say is sorry. And that isn’t enough.

The last time it wasn’t enough

None of this is enough.

Because when you strip this back, all of this is about tenures of power held by men

Just digging this one up for no reason.

Well there is reason. It’s to point out that there is a rotten culture in politics where voters are treated with contempt as these weirdos are recycled time and time again for no clear reason.

I think everyone is no so wrapped up in the minutiae that they’re ignoring the obvious fact that he was clearly totally unsuitable to be appointed to any government job in the first place. Like… we all new this. We knew what he was like. For decades.

Feel like I’m going mad.

Pope Leo XIV: Jesus told us, blessed are the peacemakers. But woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their own military, economic, or political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth.
