Me, in a yellow No Kings Tshirt and my straw hat for sun protection. My hat has pins given to me from various protests. My homemade sign is white letters on black cardstock, in the best Star Wars font I could paint, "I am the Aunt(ifa) you're looking for." I also free hand drew the logo for the rebellion. Behind me are thousands of Nashville protestors getting ready to line the streets.

America sadly continues it's fast track to fascism. Every day there is something that seems more and more un-American happening. The rise of ICE as a police force stealing people off the streets is alarming, the GOP protection of pediophiles and the Epstein files just disappeared, we're giving a war criminal Russian president red carpet treatment in Alaska, red states are sending national guard troops to Washington DC -- it all sounds like some crazy movie but it's happening. Good people continue to do what they can, the legal system is holding the line, mostly. California governor, Gavin Newsom, is directly engaging the hypocrisy and ridiculousness of the administration -- it's going to take a lot more. I try not to despair and to resist by finding and celebrating joy! The rescue kittens (almost a year old) are part of that joy!
