I have been torn on this but lean more towards FT CM’s. I do like the idea you mentioned of more FT support if CM’s are PT.

In the 10 years I have been working in the Napier area there has been 1 block that youth & families avoid (which affects community center #’s) due to open drug slinging & our newly assigned South precinct has done what we have asked for YEARS… a police tower & we have seen a diff! 🙏🏾🙏🏾 @nashville.gov

I see there is a plan to add more trees. I truly love my neighbors. Youth & teens hang out in my backyard for firepit. We go to each other’s homes for dinner. If ya have suggestions let me know as we have no driveways. Pic from Mon. dinner when I took 3 teens temp living w/ me to my neighbors 3/3 ❤️

This is why I raise awareness…its not happening throughout Nashville. Why is the largest public housing community and surrounding houses with NO driveways the ones who get to be made an example of???

Before the new street sweeping program my neighbors said they never had an issue with getting ticketed for expired tags of their car parked in front of their home.

Ahhh it makes sense now! The street sweeping program is a way to give tickets for expired tags not just ticket and tow for not moving your car. Again, we do not have signs to remind people!

What other neighborhoods are the focus twice a month? Napier Area is 1st and 2nd Thursday; folks living in public housing who only have street parking available have to worry about not getting ticketed or towed for forgetting to move their car where there are no signs.

I am grateful for this! Thank you to all who made this a reality including tax payers!

This! My neighbor said this! In NYC after a couple tickets you got booted and then towed. I referenced that and NDOT’s response was the pilot time is now over. Not to mention the three airbnbs on our small block. There is also a monthly team that cleans the street. What is this really about?!

I WILL always elevate my neighbors voices when laws are unjust & I will use my privilege to pursue change. I am so TIRED of change happening w/o truly seeking what the community wants. Recently…rezoning of schools, towing when one forgets its street sweeping day (no signage), broken promises & more!

2 yrs ago my friend DJ @urbaneastnash.bsky.social asked if we needed pumpkins for youth. I said yes but initially I didn’t realize the power of a pumpkin, now I do 🧡He is collecting funds again so that over 100 youth can have one. Consider sacrificing one pumpkin latte this week & donate $10 🙏🏾

Gotcha. I need to catch up on my fav podcast. CM TE exhibited disdain last council mtg too. Not as much as Joy S or a few others and I wondered why then also.

Not Jeff E. D11 quoting Freddie’s campaign slogan during council discussion of BL2025-830. All that for nothing because Robert’s Rules says “you can’t do that” in my NSC game voice.

Now That They’re Free, Venezuelan Men Want the World to Know What They Endured in CECOT Venezuelan men deported by the Trump administration say they endured months of physical and mental abuse inside a Salvadoran prison. Though happy to be home, they say the fact that they were released ...

The terror began immediately. Salvadoran guards beat them with their fists, boots and batons, shot them with rubber pellets, and forced them to lick other men's backs.

What happened when we sent 230+ Venezuelans to a prison known for human rights abuses.

For those wondering, folks must recertify each yr w/MDHA & when they do not their rent goes to market rate. The covid rent pause affected this mom’s situation. She was dealing w/postpartum, abuse and did not recertify. My friends know the 11 yr twins tare amazing thespians ❤️

2/ I shared the story of J going to college last yr. So many helped him. 🙏🏾When he left his fam was staying with a neighbor but that neighbor moved. His mom MDHA balance was $13K! I met with Dr. Troy (Ty Zulfat) from MDHA & they have changed rules where balances can never get that high. We tried 2/

Why does American multifamily architecture look so banal? Architect and founder of Larch Lab Michael Eliason makes the case for designing buildings with a single stair, or a Point Access Block.

i talked about how single stair buildings offer numerous benefits over status quo construction - better daylight, ability to cross ventilate, potentially even dramatic cost savings
