Summer, ‘23, we fine-tuned Fight Night for the big stage; Stanley Field Hall(!!!!) as Ted helped Dr. O’Connor introduce Swimbo…er, *Sobek* the Spinosaurus, to the Field Museum!

Horns & Teeth premiered to a full house at the museum’s yearly Dinos & MOR event (if you can, make the trip!) and is now regularly screened throughout the spring/summer seasons.

‘The Tale of Horns & Teeth’ borrows its name from MOR’s Hall of Horns & Teeth and examines the the lives of T. rex and Triceratops in the Mesozoic, their legacy through modern science, and their legend in pop-culture.

In spring of 2023, we debuted Rextooth’s most ambitious project to date; ‘The Tale of Horns & Teeth’, a fully-animated, 22 minute film, created in partnership with @museumoftherockies.bsky.social, and narrated by curator of paleontology, Dr. John Scannella.

Fight Night gives the audience the rundown on the contenders, and then, with the help of a little time-travel shenanigans, gives the people what they came for!

Ted and Dr. O’Connor were joined in calling the fight by none other than National Geographic Explorer, Presidential Award for Excellence in Science-winning, impossibly handsome paleontologist from your favorite dinosaur documentaries, Dr. Paul Sereno!

…That was until a surprise third contender charged…er, waddled(?) into the ring!

This first edition of Fight Night featured the ultimate super-heavyweight bout; Tyrannosaurus rex versus the challenger, Giganotosaurus carolinii.
