They also believe everyone is as sick as they are.
And they're devoid of empathy.
😂
"This is DOJ taking the side of the Klan."
Old enough to remember when this sentence would be appalling instead of just Tuesday.
🇮🇷's negotiating posture:
What is a Jewish state: “the hypothetical two-state version, or the current ‘one-state reality,’ where, as four professors write in Foreign Affairs, ‘the land and the people are subject to radically different legal regimes, and Palestinians are permanently treated as a lower caste’”?
In this place, at this time, a fair fight means you have to fight dirty.
They're gonna make Trump beg.
Feel like it should be a bigger story that Howard Lutnick's firm (run by his kids) created a financial product to buy up tariff refund claims at a major discount, and will now be cashing in on the higher costs passed onto consumers.
From part one: “Sure, Alien is about an alien. But, on a deeper level, it's the story about the horrors of a cartoonishly evil company with unchecked power.”
Read both parts, and get angry. 😠
Or angrier. 😡
The stories just 👏 keep 👏 coming 👏 I had a lovely conversation with Jennifer Auchter last week about how New Mexico is tackling reforestation challenges. www.hcn.org/articles/how...
Adios.
My activism started in the Eighties, but I stood on the shoulders of the protestors and movements of the Sixties.
We ALL need to read some history.
If that's condescending, so be it, but it's not wrong.
As one does when describing something that happened in the past, in this instance, the anti-apartheid corporate divestiture movement of the Eighties.
I believe there are lessons to be learned from our experiences then which remain applicable now.
Why do you presume I don't?
I hope it doesn't come to that. We agree far more than we disagree, and we don't disagree about Israel, only in how we address it.
That said, I won't let the memory of the activists I fought beside be ignored or denigrated. If that's a problem, then do what you need to do.
What do you think happened to us? Do you think campus activists getting arrested for protesting originated three years ago?
Please, read some history.
So was apartheid, for decades.
We didn't hold our breath waiting for politicians who agreed with us to win elections. We grabbed them by their weak point - attacking their donors, the companies invested in South Africa - and dragged them where we needed them to be.
I was radicalized by the anti-apartheid and anti-nuclear proliferation movements. Our success was predicated on creating the space where we could move politicians in the directions we wanted.
Israel's genocide will end the same way South Africa's did, by making it impossible to ignore.
“I’m not voting for anyone who does anything I don’t like” is just excuse-making. Voting is ONE step in a process of lifelong advocacy.
Every election comes down to choosing a person to fill the office. Do the least harm then keep fighting.
The deep sea might be out of sight, but it should not be out of mind. 🌊

"Apologies to H-K, but we ran out of time."
Also too.
The people who confirmed them?
Fetterman voted for Bondi.
Fetterman, Slotkin, Shaheen, Peters, Kim, Hassan, and Kaine voted for Noem.
Ds are complicit in this horror show.
So, uh, gotta do the campaign fundraising stuff because it’s gotta get done.
Who wants to chip in $4.20?
This is a good moment in @donmoyn.bsky.social's dive into the tech broligarchs: They keep talking about the "west" in order to feel like world-historical sages but they're just echoing warmed over white nationalist inanitites at this point:
