This profile, formed during the lce Age, was worshipped by the Indians as the profile of the “Great Spirit”, and was first discovered by white men in 1805. The face, which measures 48’ (14.6 m) from forehead to chin, is 1200’ (366 m) above Profile Lake, and 3200' (976 m) above sea level.
