I get that completely. For me, a habit of NY day that I sort of enjoy, but it’s definitely a confection that needs a bit of salt in it.

It’s so, so bad, completely agree. Why would you want dance music you can’t dance to? And there’s literally centuries of music to listen to with an orchestra, why stick to something from 30 years ago you knew when you were younger. I find it unfathomable.

And don’t get me started on those orchestral dance crossovers. Gosh, they really are awful.

Mind you, can’t be worse than the Northern Soul ones which asks the question: what if this music, but with all the soul and excitement removed and not be able to dance to it?

I know these pop Proms sell and I’m in a minority, but it’s so uninteresting*. You could put this concert on in any theatre in any town.

I find it a bizarre argument. People are allowed to do lots of things outside classroom and school you can’t do in it, so why is this such a hurdle? (though do understand that it’s a bit of a weird flex to tell kids to get off phones and then put everything on apps, but…)
