He was someone who was able to push boundaries on such a huge publication like nobody else did and it will forever be missed.

I’d like to think that there has to be something for everyone in the industry and that’s maybe the point of it all.Magazines that appeal to some audiences and others that don’t but i’d like also to think that the step down of Edward Enninful at British Vogue was a genuine loss.

British Vogue is having an identity crisis.From flowers background to monochrome ones,what’s the plan?what’s the message?Questions that still need to be answered.

I’d say that Chioma’s version has a similar creative pattern that goes in the same way as American Vogue Magazine.Something that appeal to a much older audience and that isn’t appreciated by everyone (me included).

Over the years,Enninful used his power to give the spotlights to social and political issues.The magazine became the very first publication to print a braille edition!The direction of the magazine was centered on things beyond fashion:inclusivity,politics,activism…

I’d say that the magazine became less original,when you think about it Edward Enninful broke so many boundaries while being at the head of British Vogue.The magazine became a powerhouse.

Fka Twigs had the honor to appear on her first cover, sitting on a taxis and wearing a Loewe ensemble.
Since it was Chioma’s first cover it was hard to catch on where she wanted the magazine to go but after a few months her direction is well known.

British Vogue switch of directors and my thoughts —
Edward Enninful was British Vogue’s editor-in-chief for 6 years.From 2017 to mid 2024,he was in charge of curating a magazine from first to last page every months.In April 2024,the first edition under Chioma Nnadi was published.
