one other big one (i have many complaints) is the game industry being Poisoned by businessmen so 95% of new games coming out is chasing/copying mediocre trends instead of anything innovative that gets shot down by the higher-ups for not being mainstream/widely palatable enough to profit from
i have a very specific pet peeve: franchises with multiple characters that put all their attention/marketing/branding/collaboration deals into the most arbitrarily popular one so they get all the spotlight and oversaturate it while the rest are left to Rot (miku & pikachu industry plant nepo babies)
