New review: Grim Games by Lucius Valiant
Great continuation of the "vampire hunter turns vampire" series with gradual expansion of scope.

Despite all the gaming focus, it works quite well for books.
Easy to use and you can have your store up and running within an hour.
I fear that with indie authors withdrawing from Draft2Digital in droves, we will lose the last remaining option to get drm free ebooks (Smashwords).
Authors, if you are moving away from D2D please consider putting your books on itch.io.
And always a joy to get art from you, Nush💕
Sometimes reviews read more like warnings or cautionary tales. Perhaps not unexpected for a book as inherently dark as RoWP.
Yet, I am grateful they took the time to rate and share their comments.

Cover of the darkest glass. A confident looking woman on a throne
A huge #BBNYA2026 welcome to @thebiblionaut.bsky.social and The Darkest Glass!
Good luck!
Welcome to the Good Thyme Inn They dashed north along the road to Dawndorrel. Into the dark woods Grilled had once been told were infested with bandits. The woods were he sometimes played at being the bandit so he could rob or murder the guests who had failed to pay for ‘protection.’ He supposed there would be real bandits in that forest now. Grilled just stood there, his arm around Aubergine, as they watched the flames reach higher and brighter. Behind the inn, the sky was so peaceful, the twinkling pink stars and three of Aloutia’s moons a calm that felt dissonant to the chaos below. Burning, burning, burning, this inn and the hatred in the pit of Grilled’s stomach. Burning until there was nothing but ash.
I JUST FINISHED THE FIRST DRAFT OF MY NOVEL
(I'm gonna have an epigraph-like epilogue)(I also have a LOT of scenes to add and some to delete, so I have a *lot* more work yet to do)
Yup!
Retirement plans 😂
They'll think about it if they survive the vampire viziers... And the planet continues to exist... The sun's future is also a bit dubious.
Revenge of the Wraith Paladin is written for you!
Dark, gritty, action-packed.
And today is the last day to grab the first book at just $0.99!

Crawlspace by Adam Christopher is the space horror novel for people who think the scariest thing about deep space is realising your employer sent you there on purpose. A claustrophobic, slow-burn descent into cosmic dread. My full review is up now:

As someone who doesn't consider himself a prolific reader by any stretch, I was surprised by the number of books participating in this year's Narratess Indie April Sale that I have read and enjoyed.
Below are ones I can confidently recommend as top notch. Many others look great too.🧵

Mini trope-map for At the Road's End. Lists the following: 1. Low action high tension 2. A traditional fantasy world, but in modern times 3. Asexual main character 4. Part of the Narratess indie sale
At the Road's End is the tale of a sister returning home sixteen years after everyone thought she died.
It's also the tale of an allegedly fallen paladin tired of running from "justice."
...and it's the story of being wrong when you thought for so long you were right.

Gentle reminder that Revenge of the Wraith Paladin is currently discounted at $0.99 as part of the big sale.
Grimdark South Asian speculative fiction with Vampires, Galatic Empires & Cosmic Horror.
For centuries, he survived by siphoning in the soul essence of mites and rodents. Until the timeline disruptions introduced enough changes to weaken the techno-sorcerous constructs that kept him restrained.
Nazaar (antagonist in one of my books and protagonist in another) wasn't imprisoned. He was entombed. Deprived of food and water for more than two hundred years... 🧵
A collage of books in the sale are faded in the background. In the center is a pciture of a dragon, crystals, skulls, and planets with the following text: "Indie Book Sale - indiebook.sale. Fantasy, Sci-Fi, & Horror - 11 - 13 April"
