Satellite images reveal scale of Israeli demolitions as Lebanese villages destroyed BBC Verify analysis found more than 1,400 buildings had been destroyed since 2 March.

It's easy to succumb to outrage fatigue. But this was four days ago. 2,000 killed. 1.2 million displaced. Entire villages demolished. A 40km 'buffer zone' (10% of Lebanon's territory) annexed. It's barely raised a resigned shrug, but it meets the criteria for war crime. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

The Qiantang river's tidal bore is the world's largest and most powerful of its kind. Sometimes two tides meet together forming a shape like a cross, that can become even more captivating at sunset.

Do you want to see the "big picture" on climate change?

Here it is.

Emissions are on the left, and include CO2, CH4, N2O, and f-gases. Natural CO2 sinks (from healthy forests & oceans) are on the right. And carbon removal, what little there is, is on the right, too. All expressed as GWP100.

The largest technology companies are contributing to a surge in data centre investment, as
their capital expenditure exceeded USD 400 billion in 2025 – and is expected to jump by
another 75% in 2026. Capital expenditure of just five technology companies is now larger
than global investment in oil and natural gas production. Many jurisdictions are seeing
project pipelines accelerate dramatically, although not all projects will come to fruition.
Those that are moving forward are doing so at pace: the IEA’s unique satellite-based tracking
shows that “artificial intelligence (AI) factories” – cutting-edge data centres specifically
designed for AI – have more than tripled in capacity in the past 18 months. Meanwhile, the
capabilities of AI are improving quickly, increasing the likelihood that it will reshape economic
growth, innovation and competitiveness and disrupt established industries and jobs.

Laura doesn’t seem to realise that the word “pledge” is not simply there for a temporary brain fart during an election campaign.

A pledge is something you say to the electorate is a holy and immovable promise because the previous government was so terrible.

Keir Starmer lied. Pure and simple.
