Welcome to new committee members Kirsty and Aisling, and a huge thank you to outgoing chair Brian for his hard work.
Grateful to all who made this possible.

Yesterday I used the Bohemians Library of Things for the first time to take out a Pressure Washer for the day. Great service for Bohs members! More of this around Ireland please!

Vance in Hungary:
"I want to help as much as I possibly can the PM [Orbán] as he faces this election... A signal to everybody, particularly bureaucrats in Brussels who've done everything they can to hold down the people of Hungary".
Falsely accusing others of interfering as he admits interfering.

For #WorldHealthDay we celebrate the connection between #biodiversity and human health. 🌿🐝 🌻
Our colleagues in the National Biodiversity Data Centre have published the All-Ireland #PollinatorPlan guide to pollinator-friendly management of healthcare sites, supported by the HSE - see pollinators.ie
After a day in the garden (trying to fix my pond) it was lovely to open up the new copy of @birdwatchireland.bsky.social Wings magazine and read a review of @gardeningwell.ie Natures Acre. @connectingcabra.bsky.social plan to have Ciaran speak at the Cabra Biodiversity Festival in May.

Nice Cabra photos of the Community Roots garden sharing project and work done by the students in Christ the King to address the issue of dog poo on pavements.
Map of Stoneybatter showing there are now 11 BikeBunkers in Stoneybatter.
Great to see we now have 11 BikeBunkers around Stoneybatter - but it would be great to see a LOT more!
That’s just 55 (?) bike spaces to serve thousands of people living in small properties, most without gardens.
You can find out more or register interest here:

Brian from Connecting Cabra was on @nearfm.ie today talking about our Free Tree day, painting nature on the roadside utility boxes, our upcoming @seai-ie.bsky.social Retrofitting grants session with @cosybatter.bsky.social & @phibsboro.bsky.social & lots more. You can listen back here. #SpeirGorm
Thanks Mary and @nearfm.ie for hosting me this lunchtime to talk about @connectingcabra.bsky.social and the work on tree planting, retrofitting seminars and general awesome stuff!
First frog spawn of the year spotted at the connecting Cabra pond.
A small but important sign of spring. Frogs rely on ponds and wetlands like this to breed, and these habitats support many other species too.
Even in urban areas, wetlands play a vital role in supporting biodiversity.

Some good news here. Although the photo says a lot about cycling infrastructure! We’re seeing the benefit of investment in bike lanes. Now can we have some in Cabra please!

Beautiful, crisp cold morning in Tolka Valley Park. Dipper, Chiffchaff, Redpoll and Reed Bunting so far.
