The output looks so lovely 🥰 The cost of operating OpenAI ChatGPT-4o-mini is almost non-existent!

The final boss of prompts in Obsidian clipper. I use it with
@bearnotesapp.bsky.social by the way - copy-paste from the clipper works like a charm 🐻

Getting back to sharing more creative stuff. I'm tired of all the negativity. Fuck it

This is a very common pattern, especially in a culture that heavily emphasizes productivity and self-optimization." This is a quote from my recent conversation with Gemini about minimalism, apps, productivity porn and self believes

GM, my self-optimized neurotics! "The drive to organize, optimize, and use the "perfect" apps can absolutely be linked to a deeper belief in the need for constant self-improvement, and that, in turn, can stem from a feeling of not being "good enough" as you are.

And damn, how cheap AI usage is now via API! I've tried both OpenAI 4o and 4o-mini and Anthropic (Sonnet, Haiku), my spending so far measures in cents! I can even use Ollama with smaller Deepseek models for free. It's really a great opportunity to experiment with complex prompts in different models!

Regarding use cases. I don't use Obsidian apps on mobile. Instead, I use Working Copy and iA Writer for accessing .md files on the go

On desktop I use Copilot and Smart Composer, they're my favorite AI plugins for now (links to repos below)

The closest theme to Everforest Light in Obsidian is Minimal with the Solarized color scheme. But I found some shades a bit off. So, I used colors from Bear's theme and created a CSS snippet with new colors for backgrounds, blockquotes, text and UI elements. Now both apps look almost the same

I love a new theme in @bearnotesapp.bsky.social beta – Everforest Light looks absolutely lovely and easy on my eyes. Also, I use @obsidian.md for experiments with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs. Naturally, I wanted to synchronize the look of these two great apps

Time tracking is the greatest life hack in my arsenal right now. I use a small, but powerful app Klokki Slim. Works like a charm 😊

I wish we had more software like Reason! It’s pure joy to use! Especially after the sterile UI of Ableton Live. It feels like coming back to my roots: I started with ReBirth, then moved to Reason, but later switched to Live. Still, Reason has always been my sacred place of experimentation and joy 😊

Once in a while, I think about Wunderlist. It was such a great app! I've tried MS Todo, but it's meh. Superlist also doesn't have this magical feeling of a well-crafted native app. But thanks to the universe, we have Things!

Frankly, I'm patiently waiting for Auto Layout and move all my personal stuff that doesn’t need extensive collaboration to Sketch as soon as possible

My prediction for 2025 - it will be a year of designers' migration to other tools. Figma is like a new Adobe now. We need open formats and more data ownership. On the other hand, we can't avoid AI, clouds, and integrations. So, it should be something very different

Question for product designers/managers: what is the best tool for a/b testing in 2024 for small pre-seed startups? A visual editor and a neat pricing model is must. AI is nice to have 👀
