“PAY ATTENTION”, the battle cry of the Dunning-Krugers
A very well written piece. Thanks for articulating things so clearly.
It's got nothing on the legendary PAL region Mega Man 2 art 😆
As a kid, wanting to be an astronaut when you grow up beats wanting to be a YouTuber or Influencer.
That's a hill I'll die on.
Love the the Artemis crew.
Four extraordinary humans: brilliant, disciplined, and deeply mission-driven.
What stands out even more than their intelligence is their character.
Kindness. Positivity. Humility. Empathy.
The future of space exploration shouldn’t just be bold, it should be human.

Which hasn’t happened to anyone since 2003
Not sure if we even need to block them. Nobody with a brain wants to drive these, nor can you realistically use them.
Our roads, cities and parking facilities can't handle the ridiculous dimensions of these things.
Also, you're considered a sad loser if you're seen in one here.
Chuck him into space.
Ugh.. unscripted podcasts are the worst!
Dear “content creators”, stop making me sit through minutes of video rambling when a paragraph of concise text could have told me the same thing in 3 seconds.
Today’s internet is not respectful of my time.
People should be organising a general strike, blocking main streets in every city and other things the rest of the world would do. But instead they still hide behind "our country is so big" and other excuses. The world won't forget how passive you are.
PS2 game Outrun 2006
It’s high time we get a new Outrun 2026, but set in Japan with snappy arcade racing and gorgeous scenery and classic Ferraris.
Make it happen @sega-west.bsky.social @sega.jp #outrun #outrun2026
Also: on Bsky ‘liking’ doesn’t do anything. On other platforms it means propagating a post to your follower’s feed but on here it’s just a blip in the void without an organic network effect. So there’s less incentive to like stuff.
The hours I spend designing I'm actually thinking and solving problems while my hands are busy visualising. By automating the design tasks away you take away my time to think and do the important things.

Project Hail Mary book cover
Saw PHM today and it was a wonderfully wholesome ride. Like the Martian it wasn’t nearly as good as the book, but it was a good movie in itself.
I just thought the Stratt character wasn’t very strong. In the book she was much more of a badass - and was Dutch instead of German.
That sums up the entire Trump presidency. Thanks America, the entire world is suffering because of you.
We live in an age of “short-form video” to accommodate the goldfish-brained masses.
OTT on everything
We're pushing the toothpaste back into the tube.
Just keep ridiculing the slop and resisting the grift and we as consumers can sink these AI bros.
Yes, also loved it. Also loved the backdrop of the Corellian shipyards in the opening. There's something fascinating about seeing those big Star Destroyers getting built.
120 million Americans are still Ok with what he’s doing (34% approval rate). The world won’t forget.
Gen X internet > Gen Y/Z internet
Y’know, with all that’s lousy in the world today, how awesome is it that one of the OG developers of #iOSmusic apps, all of them undeniable classics, is also really into astronomy and astro-photography. Every time I see the Ruismaker logo I know I’m about to learn something exciting and inspiring.
A rose-shaped nebula made of red gas and dust in a field of stars.
The galactic donut, aka the Rosette Nebula.
The stellar winds from supergiant stars in the centre have blown a hole in this massive dust cloud.
It's one of the icons of the winter night skies.
